Hi,
I’m Richard and I’m here to tell you why accessing public arrest records is important. First of all, I’m not some big shot corporate honcho, public personality or millionaire. I run a small business in a nice town and I have a great family who are my world. I’ve been lucky in that nothing really bad has ever happened to me. I never used to worry about the dangers of life or thought of using public arrest records to check up on people.
But when I got married 18 years ago and my daughter was born, the news I came across about rising crime rates, drugs, sex offenders and the rest made me start worrying about her future. Then came 9/11 and things just got worse. My daughter is now 17 and my son 7. Like all kids, they are independent and try to go their own way, as much as they can. I worry about the people they meet and interact with. If I know there is danger, I can protect them. But when I don’t know, what do I do? Give them lectures about the dangers out there and about being careful of people they meet? Fat chance that they’ll ever listen.
That’s why I use Intelligator. Its an online service that makes searching public criminal records easy. Just join up and type in the name of the person whose arrest record you are looking for. If the person you are checking on has a criminal record, you will find it. And once you know that your son’s best friend’s parent were busted for selling drugs, or that your neighbor has a rap sheet as long as your arm, you’ll know what to do.
But let me make it clear that Intelligator is not a magic wand. Depending on how common the person’s name is, you could get a large number of results and you’ll have to hunt through them to find the person you are looking for. You can narrow down the search if you know the city or state they are from. But even this can still give you a large number of possible results – can you imagine how many John Taylors there are in New York city?
The other drawback is that not all criminals have been caught. Their names won’t appear in public arrest records. So getting a negative result from a search of public criminal arrest records is no guarantee of a person’s character.
But doing a search using Intelligator to search public records of arrest is still the best way to reduce the chances of getting mixed up with the wrong people to a minimum. You can be sure that the person is not a known criminal. And that increases your safety more than anything else can.
Let me put it like this. Since I started using Intelligator, I got rid of one employee who was a cook, weaned my son away from a friend whose parent’s names appeared in public DUI arrest records as habitual offenders and am careful of one supplier who has a fraud record. All this for a few dollars. And by updating my checks and investigating new people, I sleep better at night.
If you want to be sure of the people in your world, log on to Inteligator.
Hoping you are always safe,
Richard Adams

My name is Richard Adams and I want to say upfront that I believe very strongly in the rights to privacy that our constitution guarantees us. That is what had me in a dilemma for a long time. With the world we live in becoming such an unsafe place, I wanted to protect my family and business as much as possible.
